Coin dedicated to celebrate 30 years of the EU flag
The national side of the coin: there is a picture of the European flag in the middle of the coin, surrounded by human figures; the inscriptionLIETUVA (LITHUANIA) and the years 1985-2015 are on the right side of the flag. The Lithuanian Mint mark is also impressed. The coin’s outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European flag.
The common side of the coin is the same as on the regular €2 circulation coins.
The external part of the coin is made of a copper-nickel alloy, the inner part — of three layers: nickel-brass/nickel/nickel-brass
Diameter is 25.75 mm
Weight — 8.50 g
The edge lettering is the same as on the regular €2 circulation coins issued by Lithuania: „LAISVĖ * VIENYBĖ * GEROVĖ“ (FREEDOM * UNITY* WELL-BEING).
The national side of the coin is designed by George Stamatopoulos.
The common side of the coin is designed by Luc Luycx.
The mintage of the coin is 750,000, of which 5,000 coins are BU quality in a numismatic package.

The coin was minted at the UAB Lithuanian Mint.

€2 denomination commemorative coins of BU quality in a numismatic package will be sold at the Cash Offices of the Bank of Lithuania as usual (in observance of the Regulations for the Sale of Numismatic Items of the Bank of Lithuania, approved by Resolution No 03-209 of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania of 27 November 2014).
Commemorative euro coins are legal tender across the euro area.
