Coin dedicated to baltic culture

baltu reversasbaltuOn the national side of the coin, an amber disc is decorated with a corsspiece of small holes; it is one of the most characteristic symbols of the Baltic culture. The inscription LIETUVA (Lithuania) and the year of issue 2016 are place at the top of the coin. The Lithuanian min mark is also impressed. The coin’s outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European Union flag.

The common side of the coin is the same as on the regular €2 circulation coins.

The external part of the coin is made of a copper-nickel alloy, the inner part — of three layers: nickel-brass/nickel/nickel-brass
Diameter is 25.75 mm
Weight — 8.50 g

The edge lettering is the same as on the regular €2 circulation coins issued by Lithuania: „LAISVĖ * VIENYBĖ * GEROVĖ“ (FREEDOM * UNITY* WELL-BEING).

The national side of the coin is designed by Jolanta Mikulskytė and Giedrius Paulauskis.
The common side of the coin is designed by Luc Luycx.

The mintage of the coin is 1,000,000, of which 10,000 coins are BU quality in a numismatic package.
